Kept on waiting for the suck to kick in, but it never did. Between you & me, I suspect Roman had something to do with how much I liked this. All of Anderson's twee obsessions are on display, but it's balanced by characters with real-enough pain and a story that works. I'll try to catch another screening next week. Haven't gotten around to the ads yet, although they've been linked everywhere. Now, the new Lumet? Argh! More on that later, gotta get ready for Chabrol now. I was pretty surprised, too.
