Backstage
November 28th, 2006

The amazing Isild Le Besco plays the smitten fan of a pop diva (Emmanuelle Seigner) who stalks the star after a misbegotten reality TV encounter and ends up as her maniac mascot in the hotel room where Seigner is gobbling pills and hiding from the cruel, cruel world. Hothouse passions & overripe desire make this slightly silly but very watchable. Le Besco and Seigner are both fascinating. Currently playing at Film Forum. Trailer. RT.

I LUV THIS FILM.
So much that I had to own it’s incredible soundtrack. Luckily for me, I have a dear friend whom speaks excellent French & who bought the soundtrack for me as a gift from amazon.com/fr
Anybody who has not seen this modern film about fan obssession should go out to rent it RIGHT NOW. Both the lead actresses are possessed by their roles. Right now, I’m looking for anyone whom can email me the entire soundtrack translated into English. I want to be able to possibly cover either “SUIS MOI” and/or “PAS CE SOIR”, 2 of the soundtrack’s most memorable compositions. “LUCIE DANSE” is also unforgettable.
Much kudos to both Seigner & Le Besco for their surrendering to their characters portrayals. Apparently, Ms. Seigner also interprets the film compositions as well & does a superb job. Much luv goes out to the songwriters especially as well!
