Worthwhile for Forest Whitaker’s amazing performance as Idi Amin; otherwise, a rote coming-of-age/deal-with-the-devil/redemption tale with a little sweaty voodoo sex, a little mass murder, and a thriller finale at Entebbe. Whitaker aside, you’re better off with Barbet Schroeder’s General Idi Amin Dada. Opens in a couple of weeks; proper About.com review forthcoming.
