Not nearly as bad as it’s been made out to be, but nowhere near as polished as Ghost World. Starts out as coming-of-age story but makes a turn to all-out satire at some point; it’s that breaking of the formula that people object to. Still very much worthwhile for anybody who’s spent any time in a workshop of some sort. The laughs are mainly laughs of recognition.
