We had watched this Alain Delon Ripley adaptation half a year ago… but I just rented it from Netflix again anyway. Yes, it’s true: this movie left so little of an impression that I completely forgot seeing this until I popped it in the player. So, retroactively, it’s getting downgraded to two stars.

I liked this when I saw it many years ago. . .but I was very young and I think I was gonna like anything French at that stage of my life.
