A bitter disappointment. I love Terry Gilliam, and it pains me to see him fuck up this bad. The documentary about his previous failure, Lost in La Mancha, was hard enough to watch–I don’t want to imagine how hard it’s going to be for him to find funding after this turd. Marcy slept for half an hour before she wisely walked out.
But it sounded so promising: a dark, exciting fairy tale adventure was just the thing for Gilliam to indulge all his odd fascinations. Instead, we get this plodding, cheaply made, unfunny unscary unexciting piece of crapola. There are so many things wrong with Bros Grimm I don’t even know where to start.
It makes me sad.
