This comic book written by Grant Morrison came with high praise, so I picked up the first volume even though I didn’t like the art at all. I should have trusted my instincts; this did nothing for me. The conspiracy stuff has all been done better elsewhere, the writing’s not nearly as literary and clever as it thinks it is, and the art–well, I still don’t like the art. Supposedly things pick up over the next few volumes, but I’m not betting any more money on it. Just goes to show that Alan Moore really is an exceptional talent: not just anybody can pull this stuff off. Ack. Should have bought Top 10 instead.
