Marcy got this for my birthday. There’s a lot of padding and repeated stuff (once interview-shy Kubrick found an answer she’s happy with, he usually sticks with it), but the couple of good interviews are worth the price. They reveal a commited artist who’s not afraid of big ideas and bold statements, some of which are gold. I love his story about the reviewer who thought that Floyd was going to a planet called “Claudius” because that’s what they said–while even children knew that he was on his way to the moon. How could they tell? Because they saw it.
