The Slip - Ascension

On a Williamsburg warehouse rooftop with a dramatic Manhattan backdrop and under a fat full moon, the Slip played a two-set show, accompanied by trippy visuals on a large screen, African drummers, what have you. The music was solid, controlled jazzy funkiness, and the setting earns this show the fourth star.
