I was enjoying this Elmore Leonard novel until Marcy reminded me it was several weeks overdue at the library. It’s set around a Mississippi casino so of course I’m interested. Leonard is all about crisp, fast dialog, even though the whole Dixie Mafia bit seemed like stretching it a bit. I’m not dying to know how it ends, but sampling his fast-paced style was instructive.
